Here's your calendar of upcoming auto events in the Portland, Oregon area for 2014. The list will be updated from time to time.*




April
Portland International Raceway Auto Swap Meet
April 3-5 (Thurs-Sat)
Described by the organizers as, "5 miles of booths filling every available space inside the road course at Portland International Raceway."

Portland Swap Meet (Portland Exposition Center)
April 4-6  (Fri-Sun)
Runs concurrent with the above PIR event but is located just a short distance away at the Exposition Center.

May
Oregon Trail Rally
May 2-4 (Fri-Sun)
Rally website states, "See the cars and stars of the National rally series at PIR. Ken Block should be here, and about 60 more teams. Friday is short stages around PIR to showcase the cars to fans here in town before they head out into the woods for days 2 and 3."


June
Portland Rose Cup Races
June15-13 (Fri-Sat)
Organizers say, "The Oregon Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) hosts the largest event of the season, and the second longest running race in the country, for sports car road racing on the 2-mile road course."

July
Portland Historics Vintage Weekend (Race and car show) 

July 11-13 (Fri-Sun)
Promoters describe the event as, "Great vintage sports car racing. The Portland Historic Races features an annual entry list of more than 250 prestigious historic race cars, representing a wide variety of manufacturers. The restored cars are divided into groups according to make, age and horsepower, where they are raced at high speeds close to or at their full potential. These races allow enthusiasts the opportunity to see race cars up close and interact with the drivers and crew. The event also features a display of more than 700 collector cars and hot rods, a kid zone, an autocross, and a vendor midway."

Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance 

July 20 (Sun)
Stroll around the beautiful campus of Pacific University and enjoy more than 300 antique, classic, sport, race, modified and collector cars from several eras of automotive history. Also enjoy live musical entertainment, a beer garden, a wine pavilion and fine food. Net proceeds from this premier event help fund local student scholarships and community service projects and organizations. Italian marques will be featured this year, with a special memorial tribute to Ron Tonkin.

Monte Shelton's Northwest Classic Rally XXVI

July 24-27 (Thurs-Sun)
Organizers explain, "The Monte Shelton Northwest Classic Rally is a celebration of classic cars.  It is conducted over the course of four days in mid-summer and begins in Portland, Oregon.  It is organized around a traditional time-speed-distance rally and comprised of pre-1981 collector cars and their enthusiastic owners.  Organized by the Alfa Romeo Owners of Oregon and with the Monte Shelton Motor Company as the primary sponsor, the event is a benefit for the March of Dimes."

Columbia River Concours d'Elegance & Carshow

August
All British Field meet and Columbia River Classic
Aug 29-31 (Fri-Sun)
Two great events for one low price! The All British Field Meet includes a great Saturday car show of all things British, including an off-road experience in venerable old Land Rovers. Sunday brings the Brit swap meet. On the track, the SOVERN racers bring 150 vintage race cars for 3-days of great racing in beautifully restored classic cars. Triumph is the featured marque this year.

September
Oregon Festival of Cars
September 12-14 (Fri-Sun)
The website says, "Started 19 years ago as the Sunriver Exotic Car Show, this has become a must-do annual event for an increasing number of car enthusiasts. Hundreds of enthusiast cars are expected to participate in this fantastic event. During its 19-year history, this event has developed a unique atmosphere of being relaxed and fun with participants being able to get to know other like-minded enthusiasts."

PIR Fall Auto Swap
Oct 18 (Sat)
The Fall Swap Meet at PIR is your last chance for great bargains on parts you are looking for to finish your winter project, or a car to start working on. Plenty of great stuff on hand.
